Our Story
The CORSET Collective was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to create a space where ambitious women could connect, collaborate, and thrive. In today's world, women frequently face distinct challenges in both their professional and personal lives. We envisioned a platform that would provide not only the tools and resources needed to succeed but also a supportive community to navigate those challenges together. We wanted to create a platform where women could discover freelance opportunities, grow their businesses, access essential wellness resources, and form meaningful connections. From this vision, the CORSET Collective was created – a dynamic ecosystem designed to empower women to pioneer new paths and rise together

Our Founder
Founded in November 2024 by Dr. Toni Tennent, CORSET Collective emerged from a vision to dismantle barriers holding women back. Dr. Tennent recognized the need for a nurturing and empowering environment where women could collaborate, support one another, and pursue their ambitions freely. What began as a small group has evolved into a vibrant, national ecosystem impacting thousands of lives.
Dr. Toni Tennent's background is rooted in healthcare, with expertise as a physical therapist, holistic health consultant, and master herbalist. Her primary motivation for creating the CORSET Collective stems from her experience caring for her daughter, who has sickle cell disease, and recognizing the systemic hurdles women face. Dr. Tennent believes that women are intelligent, innovative, and capable, and that creating their own opportunities through action and resilience is more effective than waiting for a system that is open apathetic.
Living with sickle cell, Dr. Tennent has learned to think outside the box and find ways to overcome obstacles and achieve her goals. She works quietly and steadily, forging ahead and creating her reality. Her passion for women's empowerment is underscored by her experience as a single parent completing her doctorate while caring for her newborn daughter, who has sickle cell disease. When the standard of care proved inadequate to improve her daughter's health condition, she went back to school to become a naturopath and master herbalist, combining both approaches to enable her to thrive despite the disease. To empower her daughter by giving her a head start in life, Dr. Tennent pursued an MBA so she could teach her entrepreneurship and set her on a path to economic success.
Dr. Tennent's vision for the CORSET Collective is to create a supportive community where women have opportunities and can lean on one another to create their reality and leave a beter world for their children. She envisions it serving as a model for young women to aspire to emulate and carry on the success. Dr. Tennent has spent years volunteering her name and resources to mentoring young women and caring for older adults with health complications in her community. She seeks to elevate those around her and share her perspective of hope through creativity, effort, and innovation. She has helped hundreds of people improve their health by pursuing a wellness and holistic approach. She is a mentor and a visionary, not afraid to explore and create new paths
